Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention: Document Control Desk washington, DC 20555 South Texas Project Electric Generating Station Unit 2 Docket No. STN 50-499 Reg.gtor Containment Buildina Intecrated Leak Rate Test Enclosed is a copy of the Integrated Leak Rate Test (ILRT) for the South Texas Project Unit 2 Reactor Containment Building.

This 24-hour test was conducted on September 22 and 23, 1991, and it demonstrated that the containment leakage under prescribed post-accident conditions was well within the allowable leakage value specified in the STPEGS Technical Specifications. In addition Unit 2 was tested at a higher test pressure (42.5 psig vs 37.5 psig) than previously conducted ILRT's to account for the new calculated containment net free volume. The ILRT was followed by I a successful test to verify instrumentation performance in accordance with 10CFR50 Appendix J. This report is provided for your information and use in accordance with 10CFR50, Appendix J, V.B.
