OF JANUARY 4, 10 AND 13, 2022, TELEPHONE CALLS WITH CENTRUS-AMERICAN CENTRIFUGE OPERATING, LLC REGARDING PROPOSED LICENSE CONDITION 19 FOR THE DIGITAL INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL ITEMS RELIED ON FOR SAFETY LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST On January 4, 10 and 13, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff participated in telephone conference calls with staff from American Centrifuge Operating (ACO),
a subsidiary of Centrus Energy Corp., to discuss the ACO license amendment application for the digital instrumentation and control items relied on for safety license amendment request.
The purpose of the calls was to discuss the proposed text for License Condition 19. Enclosed is a telephone call summary for your use. The summary contains no proprietary or classified information.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this memorandum and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs agencywide documents access and management system (ADAMS).
