SUMMARY

OF OCTOBER 24, 2022, TELEPHONE CALL WITH CENTRUS-AMERICAN CENTRIFUGE OPERATING, LLC REGARDING ITS 32 CFR PART 117 (NISPOM RULE) COMPLIANCE AND THE NEED FOR ENFORCEMENT DISCRETION On October 24, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff participated in a telephone conference call with staff from American Centrifuge Operating (ACO), a subsidiary of Centrus Energy Corp., to discuss ACOs license amendment request involving changes to its security plans resulting from the application of Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations (32 CFR), Part 117 and to discuss the NRCs planned enforcement discretion letter. A summary of the telephone conference call is enclosed.
