OF JUNE 1, 2022, TELEPHONE CALL WITH CENTRUS-AMERICAN CENTRIFUGE OPERATING, LLC REGARDING ITS LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATION TO EXTEND THE NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSIONS HIGH ASSAY LOW-ENRICHED URANIUM DEMONSTRATION APPROVAL BY 6 MONTHS On June 1, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff participated in a telephone conference call with staff from American Centrifuge Operating (ACO), a subsidiary of Centrus Energy Corp., to discuss the ACO license amendment application to extend the NRCs High Assay Low-Enriched Uranium Demonstration program approval by 6 months beyond its expiration date of May 31, 2022. Enclosed is a telephone call summary for your use. The summary contains proprietary information.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this memorandum will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR), or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
