SUMMARY
OF ONSITE REVIEW OF CENTRUS HALEU AMENDMENT APPLICATIONS NUCLEAR CRITICALITY SAFETY AND INTEGRATED SAFETY ANALYSIS DATE: August 11-13, 2020 PLACE: Centrus Energy Corp. (Centrus)-Technology and Manufacturing Center (TMC), Oak Ridge Tennessee PURPOSE:
The purpose of the site visit was for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards staff to conduct onsite reviews of Centrus nuclear criticality safety (NCS) and Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) documentation, discuss NRCs draft NCS and ISA requests for additional information (RAIs) (Agencywide Document Access and Management System Accession No. ML20223A155), and tour the TMC.

As a result of its onsite review of ISA documentation and related discussions, the NRC staff will be modifying one NCS-related RAI and adding two new ISA-related RAIs. These will be included in the final set of RAIs which are yet to be issued to Centrus.
