OF ONSITE DISCUSSION AND WALKDOWN OF AMERICAN CENTRIFUGE OPERATING, LLCS NEW CLASSIFIED SECURITY PLAN FOR THE DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM IN PIKETON, OH DATE: February 3, 2021 PLACE: American Centrifuge Plant, Piketon Ohio PURPOSE:
The purpose of the site visit was for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and U.S.
Department of Energy (DOE) staff to:
(1) discuss its draft Request for Additional Information (RAI) provided to American Centrifuge Operating, LLC (ACO) staff on January 29, 2021 (Agencywide Document Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML21033A516), which resulted from the DOE and NRC staffs review of ACOs new Classified Distributed Control System (DCS) Information System Security Plan (ISSP) for X-3001 & X-3012 Buildings in Piketon, Ohio, SP-3605-0043, submitted as a license amendment request on December 22, 2020 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21036A188); and (2) conduct a walkdown of the planned DCS.
The Enclosure transmitted herewith contains Security-Related Information. When separated from the sensitive conditions in the Enclosure, this document is decontrolled.

As a result of the onsite discussion, the NRC staff modified its draft RAIs. The modified RAIs are contained in Enclosure 1 of this memorandum. The NRC informed ACO that it anticipates completing its review of SP-3605-0043 by the requested date of March 31, 2021. However, for this to happen, ACO would need to provide the NRC a satisfactory response to the RAI by February 19, 2021. The NRC staff anticipates expending 200 staff hours to complete the review.
