Thnak you for your letter of June 25, 1979 on behalf of your constituent.

Mr. Francis Olsen, reque. sting information on the location of nuclear waste disposal sites.

The Nuclear Regulatory Comission licenses six comercial low level waste facilities. These are located at West Valley, New York; Maxey Flats, Kentucky; Sheffield Illinois; Barnwell, South Carolinat Beatty. Hevada and Hanford, Washington. At present only the Barnwell, Beatty and Hanford sites are receiving waste. Spent nuclear fuel is currently stored on site at the comercial power plants around the country.
