- b 10 In consideration of the requests made in your April 7, 1982 e r to m 4
regarding a site visit to Sheffield by Brookhaven National Lab f_
g (BNL) personnel to take trench sump water samples, the NRC staff to the following:
- 1. BNL personnel will be advised that while on the site they shall abide by all instructions of the US Ecology, Inc. site radiological control and safety officer and comply with all provisions of the site radiological control and safety rules.
- 2. US Ecology, Inc. will be provided with field data and split samples of sump water upon request provided US Ecology is willing to bear any additional expense of providing same.
Regarding item number 3 dealing with liability for damages, a separate letter is forthcoming from the NRC Office of Administration which contains the NRC position on that matter.
