Enclosure 1 PG&E Letter DCL-02-003 DECEMBER 2001, OPERATION SUMMARIES DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 Summary of Unit I Operation Unit 1 began December in Mode 1 (Power Operation), at approximately 100 percent power. On December 20, 2001, as a precaution for forecasted high ocean swells and ocean debris, operators reduced power to approximately 20 percent. On December 21, 2001, operators returned the unit to approximately 100 percent power.

Summary of Unit 2 Operation Unit 2 began December in Mode 1 at approximately 100 percent power. On December 20, 2001, as a precaution for forecasted high ocean swells and ocean debris, operators reduced power to approximately 20 percent. On December 21, 2001, operators returned the unit to approximately 100 percent power.

Actuations of Safety or Pressurizer Power Operated Relief Valves There were no challenges to the pressurizer power operated relief valves, pressurizer safety valves, or steam generator safety valves.
