Purpose:

The NRC staff and FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) management will discuss the results of the NRCs assessment of the safety performance at Beaver Valley Power Station for the period January 1, 2002 to December 31, 2002. This assessment is described in the annual assessment letter dated March 4, 2003 and can be found at:

http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/LETTERS/bv_2002q4.pdf The agenda for this meeting will consist of an overview of the NRCs Reactor Oversight process and a presentation on the annual safety assessment of Beaver Valley Power Station given by NRC staff, followed by a FENOC management response to the assessment.
