NOTIFICATION OF UPCOMING MEETING

Dear :

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) would like to invite you to a town hall type public meeting at the Ruth Fisher Elementary School Cafeteria on June 7, 2007, 6:30 p.m.,

38201 W. Indian School Road, Tonopah, AZ 85354.

This opportunity is intended to provide you a forum to ask any questions which you may have about the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Stations performance. This is an NRC Category 3 meeting in that the public is invited to participate at the meeting and to communicate with the NRC on regulatory issues. It provides an opportunity to meet with an NRC Region IV manager, and myself the NRC Senior Resident Inspector at Palo Verde Generating Station.

The NRC provides reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities where appropriate.

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this meeting, or need this meeting notice or the transcript or other information from the meeting in another format (e.g., braille, large print, foreign language interpreter), please notify the NRCs meeting contact listed below.

Determinations on requests for reasonable accommodation will be made on a case-by-case basis.

This town hall public meeting follows the June 6, 2007, 6:30 p.m. public meeting with the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station staff concerning current performance of the plant. The June 6, 2007 public meeting will be located in the Saddle Mountain United School District Board Room at 38201 W. Indian School Road, Tonopah, AZ 85354. Palo Verde Station performance results can be found on the NRC web site at http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/PALO1/palo1_chart.html http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/PALO2/palo2_chart.html and http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/PALO3/palo3_chart.html for Units 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web
