Thursday, August 30,2012 10:00 a.m. - 1 :00 p.m. EDT U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 10-B4 Rockville, Maryland The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the relief request submitted by Arizona Public Service Company (APS), the licensee for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3, on August 1, 2012 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML12229A046).
The licensee is proposing Phased Array Ultrasonic Examination Techniques (PAUl) as an alternative to radiography in relation to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section III.
This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
Participants from the NRC include members of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR), the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research (RES), and the Office of New Reactors (NRO).
