FORTHCOMING PRE-APPLICATION PUBLIC MEETING WITH ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY TO DISCUSS EXTENSION OF AUTHORIZED REPAIR TO PALO VERDE, UNIT 3, BOTTOM-MOUNTED INSTRUMENTATION TO END OF UNIT 3 OPERATING LIFE (TAC NO. MF3520)

The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion of the meeting but before the meeting is adjourned.

Purpose:

Verbal request for relief was granted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on December 5, 2013 for alternative repairs to Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 3, bottom-mounted instrumentation nozzle #3 for the duration of the unit's next operating cycle (U3C18). Arizona Public Service Company will discuss its proposed supplement to the relief request to extend the repairs to the end of Unit 3 operating life.
