By letter dated March 5, 2010, (Reference 1) Duke Energy submitted a partial response to Reference 2, with plans to provide additional information by June 2010. Duke Energy received CAL 2-10-003 (Reference 3) on June 22, 2010. The purpose of this letter is to notify the NRC that the additional information will be submitted pursuant to Reference 3.

Subsequent to submittal of Reference 1, Duke Energy placed priority on opportunities to significantly enhance external flood mitigation at the Oconee site. This impacted our ability to provide the additional information, which is in draft form but not yet validated.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission June 24, 2010 Page 2 In the interest of maintaining open communications, Duke Energy will conduct a face-to-face meeting with the technical staff to share the draft, preliminary information. The face-to-face meeting is scheduled for June 29, 2010.

This letter contains security sensitive information. As such, Duke Energy hereby requests the NRC withhold this letter from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390 (d)(1), "Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding."
