OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION, UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 - ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF WITHDRAWAL REQUEST TO REVISE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 5.5.2, CONTAINMENT LEAKAGE RATE TESTING PROGRAM, FOR PERMANENT EXTENSION OF TYPE A AND TYPE C LEAK RATE TEST FREQUENCIES (EPID L-2023-LLA-0049)
Dear Mr. Snider:
By letter dated April 4, 2023 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23094A155), Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke Energy) submitted a license amendment request for Oconee Nuclear Station (ONS), Units 1, 2, and 3.
The proposed amendment request would amend Technical Specification (TS) 5.5.2, Containment Leakage Rate Testing Program, revising the frequency of Type A, Type B, and Type C integrated leakage rate test (ILRT) frequencies and adopt the use of the American National Standards Institute/American Nuclear Society (ANSI/ANS) 56.8-2002 Containment System Leakage Testing Requirements.
By letter dated April 27, 2023 (ML23117A037), you requested to withdraw the application from NRC review. The NRC acknowledges your request to withdraw the application. The NRC had not yet completed its acceptance review of the submittal dated April 4, 2023. All NRC staff activities on the review have ceased and the associated Cost Activity Code numbers have been closed.
