Bavol, Acting Secretary of the Commission DAVIS-BESSE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT 1 PETITION TO INTERVENE AND FOR AN ADJUDICATORY HEARING OF FENOC LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST DOCKET NO. 50-346-LA On May 20,2013, Intervenors Beyond Nuclear, Citizens Environment Alliance of Southwestern Ontario, Don't Waste Michigan, and the Ohio Sierra Club, filed a joint petition to intervene regarding the proposed Davis-Besse license amendment.

The petition to intervene, along with its supporting documents (ML 13142A439), was submitted in response to a March 19,2013, Federal Register Notice (78 Fed. Reg. 16876) that provided "Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendments to Facility Operating Licenses and Combined Licenses, Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination, and Opportunity for a Hearing." This hearing request is being referred to you for appropriate action in accordance with 10 C.F.R § 2.309.
