You asked about the Byron Hoses and Cables. Byron conforms to Method #2 of the NRC letter from Jack Davis to Joseph Pollock, NEI Vice President dated May 18, 2015 (ML15125A442). Byron has spare cabling and hose of sufficient length and sizing to replace the single longest run needed to support any single FLEX strategy.

You asked of our description of long term boration strategy. As stated as the answer to question 3.2.1.1.D in Byron's Fourth Six-Month Status Report in Response to March 12, 2012 Commission Order Modifying Licenses with Regard to Requirements for Mitigation Strategies for Beyond-Design-Basis External Events (Order Number EA-12-049), dated February 27,2015, Calculation BYR 14-129 / BRW-14-0212-M, RWST Usage During FLEX Scenarios has been completed to determine the need and timing of additional Phase 3 boration equipment. This calculation states that with all the scenarios run the RWSTs will provide borated water for a minimum of 33.6 hours6.944444e-5 days <br />0.00167 hours <br />9.920635e-6 weeks <br />2.283e-6 months <br /> (enough time to get equipment from the SAFER location). Additionally, Byron has BFSG-50, FLEX Support Equipment Operation Unit - 0. Attachment G of 0BFSG-50 provides steps to refill the RWST from 1) Cross-tie from the other unit, 2) Portable boration / makeup skid, and 3) Boric Acid Storage Tank.
