Hi Tom, By email dated February 8, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) sent a draft request for additional information (RAI) to Constellation Energy Group, LLC (CEG, the licensee) in response to your application dated May 12, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML21133A297). The licensee requested approval of proposed alternatives pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.55a(z)(1) to the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (ASME Code) for Braidwood Station Units 1 and 2 (Braidwood) and Bryon Station Units 1 and 2 (Byron).
The purpose of this email is to inform the licensee that the NRC has withdrawn this draft RAI for Braidwood and Byron.
The NRC staff is holding a public meeting (ADAMS Accession No. ML22053A171) via webinar on March 4, 2022 at 1:00pm to communicate staff perspectives on risk-informed modification of the Inservice Inspection Program to industry and the public. A revised draft RAI for this proposed alternative may be sent to the licensee following the public meeting.
