Update on Hatch Pullbox The plant performed an integrity test on the CST-2 transfer pump moat and found that there were 2 small-holes (breaks in the moat) where the water from the moat was going to directly to the pullbox (via ducts which connect the moat to the pullbox).
Update on Hatch Pullbox The plant performed an integrity test on the CST-2 transfer pump moat and found that there were 2 small-holes (breaks in the moat) where the water from the moat was going to directly to the pullbox (via ducts which connect the moat to the pullbox). As we previously discussed, approximately 325 gallons of water were pumped out of the pullbox and disposed of as radwaste. At this point, the plant has no indication that the moat/pullbox contents have reached groundwater. The nearest monitoring well does not show a significant increase in tritium activity. An update will be provided should any other pertinent info become available.
