SNC prefers to receive approval prior to the summer months (e.g. May or June) to minimize risks associated with increased turbine building temperature. SNC will support the NRC in any way possible to ensure the review can be completed on an expedited basis.

Importance: High EXTERNAL MAIL: Caution Opening Links or Files Tim and Ryan, SNC submitted the attached Hatch - Eliminate Automatic Main Steam Line Isolation on High Turbine Building Area Temperature (L-2021-LLA-0188) on October 13, 2021, with a request for approval by the NRC of the proposed LAR within one year of the NRC acceptance of the LAR.
The NRC accepted the LAR for review on November 2, 2021, and the NRC staff estimated completion of this LAR by November 2, 2022 (see attached).
I hear that SNC wants this LAR finished earlier. What is SNCs need date, and what is the reason for this need date?
