I live within the 50 mile plume zone of SONGS, and implore the NRC to expand the public comment window as we were not given ample public notice or meaningful effort to make the public aware on this deadline. The public looks upon the NRC to protect us from toxic fallout from nuclear waste by requiring companies to uphold the highest safety standards in creating long-term storage for the toxic waste.
