[External_Sender] San Onofre Good afternoon I am deeply concerned about Edison's lack of accountability to safety for the nuclear storage. In addition, I am at a loss that solutions are not being actively sought. There are over 8 million people affected in this area and this is a huge risk not only to us - the base but our precious ocean and environment. I heard the seismologist speaking it is clear there is a very present real danger.
Why when the military are utilizing technology that has been around for over 30 years to turn the radioactive nuclear waste into inert glass chips is this not being discussed for San Onfore?
It would only make the most sense for the Camp Pendleton base to take over the nuclear waste keep it safe and build the facility to convert this highly toxic radio active waste into inert glass chips/ Thank you for your time and I hope great care regarding this issue.
