RE: NINE MILE POINT UNIT NO.1 By letter dated May 3, 1976, from Roger S.Boyd, Director of the Division of Pro)cot Management, you were sent a copy of Standard Review Plan 9.5.1"Fire Protection" dated Hay 1, 1976, which contains new guidelines for the NRC staff evaluations of fire protection in our review'of future applications for nuclear power plant construction permits.To the extent reasonable and practicable, these guidelines also will be utilized in a reevaluation of the fire protection provisions of operating nuclear power plants.In order.to begin such an evaluation of the fire protection provisions at your nuclear power plant, we request that you conduct an examination to compare the existing fire protection provisions at your facility with the guidelines in the Standard Review Plan.This examination should: (1)Identify the guidelines in Standard Review Plan 9.5.1 which are presently met, and discuss how this is done;(2)(3)Identify the guidelines for which modifications,.

RE: NINE MILE POINT UNIT NO. 1 By letter dated May 3, 1976, from Roger S. Boyd, Director of the Division of Pro)cot Management, you were sent a copy of Standard Review Plan 9.5.1 "Fire Protection" dated Hay 1, 1976, which contains new guidelines for the NRC staff evaluations of fire protection in our review 'of future applications for nuclear power plant construction permits.
