Commitments and SSER Open Items Attachments:                 05 OPEN COMMITMENTS (MAXIMO) - NRR SUBMITTAL REQUIRED.pdf - Adobe Acrobat Professional.pdf; Updated SSER 22-23 Open Items Plan.docx I had Tommy Elton search our commitment tracking database for commitments where we said we would submit something to NRC. The attached list resulted. It does not have the items for the last week (Tommy is behind since he is working on the Tech Spec revision) and it has some items where we have already made the submittal but have not closed the item in the database. I have someone working on cleaning these items up and documenting that they are complete.

I have also attached our version of SSER 22/23 Appendix HH Open Items. The due dates shown are the dates when items have been promised to be provided to TVA Licensing. In general, the date to you would be within about one week of that date. Items shown as Complete means that TVA Licensing has the input and will include the item in the next closure letter. When an item has been submitted to you I remove it from this list. When the organization is highlighted in yellow, the item is an inspection item rather than a submittal item. For these, a package will be provided to the appropriate NRC person.

[Item 1.k. of Enclosure 2 of T02 101026 011]
NRR111621260(Letter Item 9) - This item will be corrected by a design change based on the following:The Unit 1/Unit 2 Eagle 21 configuration has a sufficient number of spare Narrow Range (NR) and Wide Range (WR) RTD inputs available on the installed ERI-01 and ERI-02 boards to wire these spare inputs to the active channels. The spare input will provide the parallel resistance to resolve the problem. The WR RTD inputs provide the same input impedance as the NR RTD inputs. Jumpers will be installed at the Eagle 21 termination frame to provide a parallel connection from each existing NR RTD input to an existing spare input, thus simulating the hardware connection for shared RTDs. Therefore, as configured, the Rack 2 Loop Calculation Processor (LCP) will provide the correct temperature calculation for the NR RTDs. The design change will be issued by April 29, 2011.(first part of Item 5. of Enclosure 4 of letter T02 101029 002)04/29/2011Engineering - I and CRAI Response  - I and C----------------------------

NRR                                                    The Unit 1/Unit 2 Eagle 21 configuration has a sufficient number of spare Narrow Range (NR) and Wide Range (WR) RTD inputs available on the installed ERI-01 and ERI-02 boards to wire these spare inputs to the active channels. The design change will be issued by April 29, 2011.

NRR112046718TVA has reviewed the FSEIS and found Table 3-20 to be in error. This was caused by the use of values contained in FSAR Table 11.3.7 instead of values contained in FSAR Table 11.3.7c.

In the near future we need to start statusing these lists as well as the Bucket List.

Engineering - I 111621260 RAI Response - I and C 04/29/2011 (Letter Item 9) - This item will be corrected by a design change based on the following:

and C ----------------------------

NRR The Unit 1/Unit 2 Eagle 21 configuration has a sufficient number of spare Narrow Range (NR) and Wide Range (WR) RTD inputs available on the installed ERI-01 and ERI-02 boards to wire these spare inputs to the active channels. The design change will be issued by April 29, 2011.

In addition, the software has been developed and tested to send data from the WBN PEDS to the CECC. However, the official list of points for Watts Bar Unit 2 has not been provided by Unit 2 Design Engineering and, until this has been completed and submitted to the Computer Engineering Group for addition to the ERDS software, official testing of the software for this unit cannot be completed with the NRC in order to declare the WBN ERDS Unit 2 operational. This list is derived from the official Data Point List. Once developed, Unit 2 Licensing submits the data to the NRC. Once this list has been received by the NRC, it would require one month to add the list to the NRC data systems, write the test, schedule the test with TVA/NRC, run the test, and TVA submit the results.
