Good morning, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is finalizing license amendments for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 & 2, and Wats Bar Nuclear Plant, Units 1 & 2. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.91(b), I am notifying you of the proposed issuance of these amendments.

Please reply within 1 week if the State of Tennessee has comments on the following licensing action submitted to the NRC by Tennessee Valley Authority (the licensee): Application to Revise Technical Specification 3.4.12, Low Temperature Overpressure Protection System for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN-TSC-22-01) and TS 3.4.12 Cold Overpressure Mitigation System for Watts Bar Nuclear Plant dated July 27, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22209A002), as supplemented January 4, 2023 (ML23004A203). The proposed changes would revise each plants Technical Specification 3.4.12 by adding a note to the Limiting Condition for Operation regarding pump testing.

The associated proposed no significant hazards consideration for this amendment request was published in the Federal Register on September 6, 2022 (87 FR 54554).
