Dear Mr. Singer:

This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. Jim Smith of your staff and Mr. ScottFreeman of this office on March 15, 2005, concerning a Category 1 public meeting scheduled for April 5, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC ReactorOversight Process Annual Assessment of your Sequoyah facility. During the meeting, werecognize that you may have information which you want to present to us or any members of the public in attendance. Accordingly, after our presentation you will be afforded an opportunityto respond to any information contained in the Annual Assessment Letter and to discuss any new or existing programs that are designed to maintain or improve your current performance or to address any performance issues that occurred during the 2005 assessment period. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will bemade available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from thePublicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS isaccessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (Public ElectronicReading Room).
