Please do not reopen the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station

Dear Nuclear Regulatory Commission,

As a home owner in Orange County, California my house is well with the the 50 mile danger/evacuation radius of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Stalion. My husband and I have lived our entire lives in Orange County and have worked very hard to own our own home.

We are not alone. There are millions of other people living in that 50 mile radius. Millions. It boggles the mind how, in a matter of minutes all those lives could be destroyed by San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.

SONGS has been out of operation since January 2012, almost a year and a half. No one, outside of SCE shareholders SONGS employees, have felt the impact of the shuttered SONGS. So now is the time for the NRC to step up and close, once and for all, this disaster waiting to happen. The NRC should also remove the tons of radioactive waste stored on the site. If the NRC and SCE decide to restart SONGS and an event does occur, hopefully they will be prepared to face millions people angered by their reckless and dangerous actions.

Please remove all personal information before making this document public.

Sincerely, Sylvia Bass Sylvia Bass "Kindness is more important than wisdom, and the recognition ofthis is the beginning ofwisdom. "
