A planned lecture' series is to be presented covering, as a minimum, i those areas where annual operator and senior operator written

[ requalification examinations indicate the need for additional 1 training. The lecture series is to be presented by the Grand Gulf q

Training Section. With the exception of special activity periods i such as refueling outages or heavy vacation periods, the lecture

series is to be spread as evenly as possible throughout each 2-year requalification program cycle. Lectures may be deferred due to unanticipated shutdowns with provisions being made for conducting j

deferred lectures at a later date. A minimum of six preplanned i lectures are to be scheduled each year. These lectures will I cover those areas where written examinations indicate the need for additional training in the following subjects:

~l j (1) Annually, the performance of licensed operstors and senior ope.rators will be evaluated and documented by supervisors and/or training staff members. An oral examination will be administered to licensed operators, senior operators, and j ( senior operators limited to fuel handling and will include i evaluation of actions taken or to be taken during actual or simulated off-normal and emergency conditions.

(2) In addition to oral examinations, practical operator performance demonstrations shall be used to demonstrate operator capabilities. The Grand Gulf Control Room or the
