. meteorological data be operating onsite.. By letter dated May' 22, 1989,,UNC

-requested a 6-8 week suspension from this; requirement.

Discussion' l

Because-UNC's wind measuring system has malfunctioned, they need 6-8 weeks to' ,]

replace and ' upgrade the system.- During the interim, UNC has made arrangements j Lto acquire the meteorological data from two' nearby: facilities. The. staff has u j determined that UNC's request:is acceptable.

Conclusion / Recommendation i

1 Based on the above discussion, the staff believes the amendment can be issued:

- without undue risk to the workers, public, or environment. Approval of the~

application is recommended.
