Pursuant to the Atomic Energy Act of (19 , the Commission's Rules and Regulations issued thereunder, and the National Environmental Policy Act as implemented by 10 CFR Part 51, New England Power Company (NEP) hereby submits 41 copies of Revision 5 to the

NEP Environmental Report.
The following information is included in Revision 5:
i) Responses to NRC Staf f requests for additional infomation (RAI) dated June 13, 1978 and July 11, 1978, as well as all responses to previous RAI (Appendix F).
: 11) Discussion of the " slurry wall" proposed for use during excavation and construction to stabilize and ensure groundwater quality and mininize dewatering costs (Chapter 4).
iii) Update of themal impact information as a result of recent far-field themal model studies (Chapter 5).
iv) Update of information on transmission costs associated with alternate sites (Chapter 9).
v) Corrections to estinated thermal plume areas in Appendix C.lA; specifically the intemediate-field analytical model.
