Dear Mr. Ballard:

Your letter of September 27, 1978, to Mr. Dominic Marietti, president of the Rhode Island State Association of Conservation Districts, was forwarded to me for consideration at our October district directora meeting.

Mr. Marietti suggested that inasmuch as the three proposed sites are within the SRI district bounds, that the SRI district board respond to your request. Your request was discussed at i our October 18 board meeting. We would be happy to comply with l your request, but we feel additional information is needed for us to make a valid evaluation of your proposals.

I would suggest that you request Doctor Phillip C. Cota, Staff Environmental Project Manager, to contact by phone or letter either Mathew Puchalski, Secretary of SRI Conservation Dis t ric t, Box 374, Charlestown, Rhode Island 02813, (364-6019);

or Robert Lee, Soil Conservationist, at the Soil Conservation of fice, Liberty Lane, West Kingston, Rhode Island 02892, (789-3171), so that more particular details concerning propo-sals and your request enn be more objectively addressed.
