Dear Sir:

Enclosed please find the following supplemental information requested by the NRC staff:

PSAR page 1.1-3 has been changed to indicate that r e f erence to Westinghouse Reference Safety Analysis Report, Revisic n 3 (RESAR-3) includes Amendments 1 through 6 of that documer t.

This information will be included in Amendment N13 of th NEP 162 PSAR.

We trust you will find this information satisfactory; however, should you desire additional information, feel free to contact us.

Very truly yours,

g Anendment N13 EP1&2 1hc PSAR is divided into 17 chapters using the chapter, secLion, subsection and paragraph headings as appear in the Standard Format, Revision 1, except for Chapter 2 (Fire Characteristics) and Chapter 17 (Quality Assurance) for-mat, which essentially conforms to that defined by Regulatory Guide 1.70.

The portions of the Seabrook PSAR which describe the NSSS and related systems supplied by Westinghouse incorporate either directly by referenen, or with modifications in some instances, in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 50.32, the Westinghouse Reference Safety Analysis Report, Revision 3 (RESAR-3),

including Amendments 1 through 6 Thus, when reference is made to RESMi-3, it h,13 means RESAR-3 with Amendments 1 through 6 Throughout RESAR-3, where information for noth 3- and 4- loop reactor coolant systems are given, the applicabic system will be that describinn a 4-loop m/s-tem without loop isolation valves. RESAR-3 sections which are not re ferenced in the PSAR are not applicabic to Scabrook. All sections of the Seabrook PSAR which refercuce RESAR-3 cither directly or with modification,3re replicate sections in the PSAR.

Sections are numerically identified by representing their order or appearance in a chapter by two numbers separated by a decimal poin:., e.g., 3.4, the fourth section of Chapter 3. Subsections are further identified by numbers separated by decimal points (3.4.1, 3.4.1.1, etc.). Pages within each section are con-secutively numbered (3.4-1, 3.4-2, etc.) .

Tabulations of da ta are designated " Tables", and are identified by the section number followed by a dash and the number of the table according to it s order of mention in the text, e.g. , Table 3.4-5 is the fifth table of Section 3.4.

Drawinga., pictures, sketches, curves, graphs, and engineering diar; rams are identified as " Figures" and are numbered in the same manner as tables, Standard symboln used in engineerin;; flow diagrams referenced in RESAR-3 arc defined by RESNt-3, Figure 1.1-1, Flow Diagram Legend. 'lhe symbols for PSAR flow diagrams, Figures 5.1-1, 5.5-4, 6.3-1, 9.3-1, 11.2-4, 11.2-5 and 11.3-2 are also defined by RESAR Figure 1.1-1. All remaining; PSAR engineering flow diagrams are covered by the PSAR Figure 1.1-1, Piping and Instrument Symbols.

Where information has been presented that is not specifically requested by the standard format, the information is presented in the appropriate chapter as a section or subsection, and follows the information specifically requested by the standard format. For exampic, this Subsection 1.1.2 is not requested by the standard format. Since it apparently belongs in Section 1.1, it has been placed af ter the subsection containing i.he information specifically re-quested by the standard format.

Responses to past NRC questions, except those relating to Chapters 2 and 17, on the Seabrook application are appropriately identified and addressed in Volume VII of this PSAR. Chapter 2 and 17 questions and answers are omitted from Volume VII of the NEP 1 & 2 PSAR, but the applicabic information has been included in the text.
