On January 12, 2006, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed anexamination at your Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1. The enclosed examination report documents the examination results, which were discussed on January 12, 2006, with Mr. Randall Martin of your staff.The examination included the evaluation of one applicant for senior operator license. Thewritten examination was developed using NUREG-1021, "Operator Licensing ExaminationStandards for Power Reactors," Revision 9. The license examiner determined that the applicant satisfied the requirements of 10 CFR Part 55, and the appropriate license has been issued.In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letterand its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC PublicDocument Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC'sdocument system (ADAMS).
