Transition from Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel to AREVA Nuclear Fuel (b)   Letter from Mr.D. V. Picket (NRC) to Mr. G.H. Gellrich (CCNPP), dated January 11, 201 0, Acceptance Review for License Amendment Request to Tran sition to AREVA Fuel Reference (a) submitted a license ame ndment request that wou ld modify the licensing basis and the Technical Specifications to allow the use of AREVA Advanced CE-14 High Thermal Performance fuel in the Calvert Cliffs reactors. The Nuclear Regulatory Comm ission provided the preliminary results of their acceptance review in Reference (b) . The N uclear Regulatory Commission staff determined that the license amendment request needed to be supp lemented in orde r for the staff to make an independent assessment regarding the acceptability of the proposed request.
