Transition from Westinghouse Nuclear Fuel to AREVA Nuclear Fuel (b) Letter from Mr.D. V. Picket (NRC) to Mr. G.H. Gellrich (CCNPP), dated January 11, 201 0, Acceptance Review for License Amendment Request to Tran sition to AREVA Fuel Reference (a) submitted a license ame ndment request that wou ld modify the licensing basis and the Technical Specifications to allow the use of AREVA Advanced CE-14 High Thermal Performance fuel in the Calvert Cliffs reactors. The Nuclear Regulatory Comm ission provided the preliminary results of their acceptance review in Reference (b) . The N uclear Regulatory Commission staff determined that the license amendment request needed to be supp lemented in orde r for the staff to make an independent assessment regarding the acceptability of the proposed request. Specifically, the staff requested that a listing of the safety evaluation conditions, limitat ions and restrictions be provided, and document how compliance with each is attai ned and confirmed for each new method ology proposed for reference in the Core Operating Limits Report.

Attachment (1) provides the requested information. The information in this attachment supersedes any similar information contained in Reference (a) . Th is supp lemental information does not impact the No Significant Hazards Determination discus sion in Reference (a) .
