Rich, AREVA has advised that the new material data for the ONS Unit 3 Lower Nozzle Belt forging did not come from the CMTR provided by the Rotterdam Dockyard. The new copper content for the ONS-3 Lower Nozzle Belt Forging (LNBF) comes from AREVA testing of an ONS-3 nozzle belt dropout remnant that contained LNBF material. The composition was determined via supplemental testing by AREVA in accordance with the AREVA QA program. The RTndt is determined by a Regulatory Guide 1.99 Revision 2 type statistical evaluation (mean/standard deviation)of data in the NRC's RVID2 database. The initial RTNDT and its uncertainty, , for the ONS-3 LNBF are estimated from a sample of A 508 Cl2 forgings specifically from the Rotterdam Dockyard. This provides a better estimate of the ONS-3 LNBF initial RTNDT than the previous values, which were estimated in accordance with Regulatory Guide 1.99, Revision 2 from a sample of materials from the same ASTM specification (A 508 Cl2) but without regard to supplier.
