On January 6, 1994, at 0338 hours, 1R45B and 1R45C RMS channels (medium and high range Plant Vent noble gas monitors) were declared inoperable due to loss of signal communication between the local monitor and remote indication in the Control Room. This problem was corrected the same day by cleaning circuit card edge connectors in the remote monitor CT-2B. While performing post-maintenance testing, the UNIT 2 SPECIAL REPORT 9.
