BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF DATE TO PROVIDE SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION RELATED TO ACCEPTANCE REVIEW OF REQUESTED APPLICATION FOR ORDER APPROVING CONSTRUCTION PERMIT TRANSFERS AND CONFORMING ADMINISTRATIVE CONSTRUCTION PERMIT AMENDMENTS (EPID NO. L-2018-LLM-0155)

Dear Mr. McCollum:

By letter dated April 5, 2019 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML18348B139), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff sent Nuclear Development, LLC (ND), a letter identifying supplemental information needed for the staff to review the Bellefonte 1 and 2 construction permit transfer application. The staffs April 5, 2019, letter requested that ND provide supplemental information within three months from the date of that letter.

By letter dated June 4, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19155A243), ND requested an additional 60 days beyond the original deadline to respond to the NRC staffs April 5, 2019, letter.

The staff grants NDs proposed 60-day extension request for submittal of the supplemental information by September 6, 2019. During the additional 60-day response period, the staff will continue to consider the application to be deferred. If information fully responsive to the NRC staffs request is not received by the above date, the application will not be accepted for review, pursuant to 10 CFR 2.101, and the NRC will permanently cease its review activities associated with the application.
