SUMMARY

REPORT FOR OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION, UNIT 1 (TAC NO. MD4422)

Dear Mr. Hamilton:

By letter dated February 1, 2007 NRC Agencywide Documents Access and ManagementSystem (ADAMS) Accession No. ML070380245, you submitted information, pursuant to Technical Specification 5.6.8, summarizing the scope, methods, and results of the fall 2006 steam generator tube inspections at Oconee Nuclear Station, Unit 1. Additional details of these inspections are documented in a conference call summary dated January 3, 2007 (ADAMS Accession No. ML070080336). We have reviewed your February 1, 2007 report and conclude that you have provided theinformation required by the technical specifications. Our review of this report did not identify any new technical issues that warrant follow-up action. We will continue to monitor your efforts to identify the causes of the wear indications that have been found at all three Oconee units and potential corrective actions to mitigate damage progression.
