Clinton Power Station Request for Operator L.icense Exemption I
Dear Dr. Paperiello:
Illinois Power (IP) requests that the following individuals be granted a license exemption in accordance with 10CFR55.33 and 10CFR55.45. Due to the extended shutdown of Clinton Power Station (CPS), the most recent operator license class has j not had the opportunity to perform a reactivity manipulation or operate the facility at a l power level greater than 20%. The restrictions to the conditional license would allow :
these individuals to operate the facility only in Mode 4, COLD SHUTDOWN, with the (
reactor mode switch in SHUTDOWN. l The individuals are currently enrolled in the Licensing Operator Continuing Training Program. Upon completion of the current extended shutdown at CPS, these individuals will complete the requirements for a non-exempt reactor operator license.
Upon completion of the requirements of 10CFR55.45, IP will submit a request to remove the license restrictions.
