Additional Information Regarding License Amendment Request for Temporary Completion Time for One Keowee Hydro Unit Inoperable for Generator Stator Replacement License Amendment Request No. 2015-08, Supplement 2

Reference:

Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC. (Duke Energy) letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), "License Amendment Request for a Temporary Technical Specification Change to Add a Required Action Completion Time for One Keowee Hydro Unit Inoperable.for Generator Stator Replacement, License Amendment Request No. 2015-08," dated February 26, 2016.

On February 26, 2016, Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke Energy) submitted the referenced License Amendment Request (LAR). Duke Energy advised the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Project Manager on May 23, 2017, of an inadvertent omission from one of the Technical Specification (TS) marked-up and retyped pages associated with that change.

Specifically, proposed Note 3 to Required Action (RA) C.2.2.5 requires administratively verifying the Standby Shutdown Facility (SSF), Protected Service Water (PSW), and Emergency Feedwater (EFW) Systems are operable prior to entering the extended Completion Time. Note 3 was correctly described in Enclosure 1 of the LAR; however, the TS marked-up page and .

corresponding TS retyped page in Attachments 1 and 2 of the LAR, did not include "PSW" in the Note. The NRC Project Manager requested we supplement the LAR to provide corrected pages.

The corrected TS marked-up and retyped pages are contained in the attachment to this letter.

These two pages replace the corresponding marked-up page and retyped page in Attachments 1 and 2 of the LAR. Duke Energy reviewed the No Significant Hazards Consideration and determined it is not affected by this change.

There are no regulatory commitments made in this submittal. A copy of this LAR supplement is being transmitted to the State of South Carolina in accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 requirements.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct. Executed on June1,2017.
