SEABROOK STATION - UNITS 1 AND 2 ALTERNATIVE PIPE BREAK DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS - REQUEST FOR AN EXEMPTION.T0 GDC-4 The Radiological Assessment Branch has reviewed the submittal of Seabrook Station Unit 1 and 2 with respect to their alternative pipe break design considerations. Our review considered the effects of the prcposed GDC-4 exemption on occupational exposure.

It is our conclusion, with'the respect to occupational exposure, that there is a significant benefit in notaddinh the additional protective structures, and RAB has no objections to granting Seabrook an exemption. Attached are our SER and SALP inputs."
