concerning the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3. I did j
want to take the opportunity to also pass my corrnendation on to you.

l Dr. Greene's participation significantly contributed to the 1
development of a sound and complete record on a complex issue in this proceeding.
His appearance as a witness on behalf of the HRC Staff was extremely articulate and was presented in a forthright and knowledgeable fashion. His assistance to me both before and during the hearing was invaluable in preparing and presenting the Staff's case. Overall, his efforts in all aspects of the proceeding in which he participated reflect most favorably on Dr. Greene, both professionally and personally, as well as on the USGS.
