la secordance with the understandings which were reflected in secretary Udall's letter of March 20, 1964, to Chainman seaborg. I am forwarding Volumes 1 thrench 4 of the Preliminary safety Analysis Report filed by Southern California Edissa Company and San Diese Gas and Electric Coupany for their preposed saa Gaofra Nuclear Osmerating Station Units 2 and 3 to be located in San Diese County, California.

The proposed reacters are of the pressurized water type and each is designed for initial operation at 3390 thermal megawatts with a mot electrical eutput of approximately 1140 megawatta.

At the Commissica's request, the U. s. Geological Survey provided us with a report dated October 11, 1966, on the geology.of the site based en the informatica oestained la the Final Engineering and Safety Analysis Report for the San Onofre Nuclear Osaerattag Unit 1.
