REQUEST FOR COMMENT AND CONCURRENCE ON ADVANCE NOTICE 0F PROPOSED RULEMAKING: " RADIATION THERAPY QUALITY ASSURANCE AND PENALTIES FOR NEGLIGENCE" This is to request your comments and concurrence on the enclosed Ad m nce Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, " Radiation Therapy Quality Assurance and Penalties for Negligence."

The Commissioners directed the staff to prepare a rulemaking on this subject. Due to its sensitive nature, special care should be taken to ensure this draft is not released outside the Agency.

Because of heightened Comission interest due to some recent misadminis-trations, this rule needs to be put on a fast track. Therefore, your comments and concurrences are requested by COB December 5, 1986.
