I I deeply regret that this article with its headline may have created in your mind, and poedibly in the minds of others, the impression that I was c9mmenting on the merits of the proposed Bodega Head reactor. I stated in my address, the Nh full text of which is enc $ sed, that I would live next door to the atom and that I wo61d not fear having my family residence within the vicinity of d modern nuclear power reactor built and operated under our regulations and controls. Since the Commis-sion has not made a decision on the reactor proposed at Bodega Head, we de not now have a judgment as to whether this reactor could, or could not,/be built and operated under our reguia-tions and controls./ At the time I delivered the address, I added a sentence t4 my prepared text to make it clear that my remarks were addressed only to the ger.ral subject of nuclear This statement safety and not to' any particular reactor plant.
