i This replies to your letter of January 21, 1964 addressed to Chairanan seaborg. You empressed concern for the nucisar power j
reactor proposed for construction at Bodega Hest in the light of the December 1963 5. 5. Geological survey report on the site.
The report, along with the application by Facific Gas & Electric Company, is being reviewed by the Commission's technical staff, the Commission's Advisory Comunittee on Reactor Safeguards and
]
expert coneuttants. This information, along with any additional anendments which may be autunitted by the applicant, will be used in tha development of an AEC staff analysis of the application.
As you are probably aware, no Commission action will be taken on the application until these reviewe have been completed and until a public hearing in the matter has been held. No date for such hearing has been established.
Enclosed is a pamphlet which describes the procedures relating j
to the licensing of power reactors. You may be interested furthet to know that a copy of the applicaciou and other documents com-prising the public record in this matter is being maintained at the Cossaission's san Francisco operations Office at 2111 Sancrof'.'
