Subject:

Pacific Gas & Electric Co Application for nuclear plant on Bodega Head.

Dear Mr. Pric e:

Since there is so much speculation as to the results of con-struction of this proposed installation on the residents of Bodega Bay, we believe you may be able to settle one vital que stion.

What would be the exclusion area (1) after installation of one reactor, and (2) af ter installation of a total of three or four reactors?

1.

Could the Federal Channel at t he entrance to Bodega Harbor be closed at any time?

That is in the case of a nuclear accident at the pla nt, or at times of changing the fuel core?

Any other circumstance?

2.

Would the U. S. C oast Guard Station on Doran Park come within the exclusion area?

-4

3.. Would there be any circumstance that would result in evacuation of the town of Bodega Bay?

It is probable that if we are informed the dista nee of the exclusion area, and the reasons for which it is put ir.o effect, we would then have sufficient information for our townspeople.

Your co-operation will be appreciated.

Sincerely, g
