Dear Mr. Bryan:

i You should be advised that Professor Frank Neumann has suffered a stroke and is in critical condition at the Seattle General Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

He lapsed into a coma March 31 and his physicians are quite pessimistic in their reports.

If there is anything that Dr. Howard A. Coombs, Chairman of the Department of Geology, or I can do to assist you in connection 1

with Mr. Neunann's work please let us know.

Sincerely yours, j
