'gileCopy On Friday, October 30, 1964, the Company.

announced it had decided to withdraw its above numbered application for Unit'No. 1 of the proposed Bodega Bay:

Atomic Park.

The reason for this decision was the doubt as to the safety of the propoced plant expressed by the Division of Reactor Licensing in its Summary Analysis dated October 26, 1964.

Although the Divicion's conclusion was contrary to.the views of the Company, its consultants, and other experts wno studied the matters covered in the application and amendments, the Company does not desire to build a nuclear power plant-if any reasonable doubt exists as to its safety.

Accordingly, we hereby request permission'to withdraw the above numbered application.
